A Frozen Birthday Card

Hi!

This card is very special to me, since I made it for a special little girl, who is turning 7 years old tomorrow (31st of October)! She is absolutely amazed by Frozen and of course I had to make a birthday card with Elsa!

Here is my card! It was such a challenge to make it ice blue and crystal like, but I finally came to a design I was quite happy with!

Here's a close-up at Elsa. I have coloured her with Copics and the combinations I used were:

Skin: E000, E04, E11, E21, E00, R20
Lips: R85, R83, R81
Hair: E43, E53, E50
Dress and eyes: BG09, BG05, BG01, BG000

I used a lot of frantage enamel shabby blue on this card to make it sparkle and I also decided to make snowflakes crystal :) I used Versamark Embossing Ink and inked the snowflakes. Then I put on sticky embossing powder and heated it with my heat gun. When it had melted I poured Crystal glitter all over it and heated it again. Voila! A crispy and crystal like snowflake! :)

Here's a close-up at the heart tag I made with a Magnolia die. I used Stempelglede stamp set and stamped with Versamark Ink, then used sticky embossing powder and finally I used Stampendous Micro Glitter blue.

That's my Frozen Birthday Card! Guess if the recipient was happy when she got it! ;)

Happy crafting!

A Golden Christmas Card!

Hello!

Today I share a Christmas card I have been dreaming about doing! It's not traditional with red and green colours but more greyish, white and golden! I totally enjoyed making this card and it's different from my other cards because it's not a coloured image on this one!

Here's my card!

I found these beautiful vintage angel images in an etsy store and was so happy when I found it! It's perfect for Christmas cards :) I have just printed out the image and used Frantage Enamel Shabby White on it. I have inked the edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Inka Gold Old Silver to make it shimmer.

I only used white flowers for this card and inked them and the stamens with Inka Gold Old Silver. I have also used Spellbinders Shapeabilities Foliages die for the flower arrangements.

Here's a close-up at a decoration I made with paper from the Maja Designs Vintage Frost collection, a glass cabochon and Glossy accent. After it had dried I glued it on to a raisin charm and inked it with Inka Gold Old Silver.

I stamped the sentiment "A joyful Christmas" by Magnolia with clear embossing ink and gold embossing powder and then heated it. I simply cut the sentiment with a scissor and glued it on to a sewing roll :)

I used GoKreate Large Frame Frilly #5 for the card's shape. I used papers from the Maja Designs A gift for you collection for this card. It fit perfectly together with the image I bought on Etsy :)

I am so looking forward to making more Christmas cards!

Happy crafting!

My entry to the Whimsy Stamps DT call!

Hi everyone!!

I am pretty excited to share this card with you, since it's my entry to the Whimsy Stamps DT call!! For the 1,5 years that I have been crafting, one DT I always wanted to be on is the Whimsy Stamps DT!! They have so many beautiful stamps and different brands so there's always something for everyone.

Here's my card!
I have had a lot of fun making this card and I will tell you all about it! :) i have used Maja Designs Coffee in the Arbour collection for this whole card and to make the edges around the card I used a Martha Stewart punch.

Here's a close-up on Silver Fairy by Sylvia Zet from Wee stamps that is a brand Whimsy Stamps sells.

I have stamped the beautiful image with clear embossing ink, poured bright opaque white embossing powder over it and then heat embossed it. That gives such an awesome effect with white outlines!

I coloured the image with Copics, the colours I used were the following:

Hair: E53, E43, E57
Skin: E000, E04, E11, E21, E00, R20
Outfit and flowers in hair: R85, R83, R81
Wings: V17, V15, V12, V01

After colouring the image I inked the background with Distress Ink Tea Dye. Then I stamped over it with my new gorgeous stamps from Stempelglede Vintage Garden with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Finally I poured Frantage Enamel Shabby White randomly and heat embossed it. Voilá! :)

Here's a close-up at one of the flower arrangements. I have used a wonderful leaf die set by Marianne Design and put Frantage Enamel Shabby White on it. I have used papers from the Maja Designs Coffee in the Arbour collection for the leaves. The cabochon is handmade and I made it with a gorgeous paper I found on etsy.com (ovals) and a glass cabochon and a charm to frame it with. I have put gesso on top of it.

Here's a close-up at the butterfly I cut with a Memorybox die called Theo Butterfly. I cut it in Maja Designs paper, but decided to cover it with Frantage Enamel Shabby Pink instead and I love the result!! The gorgeous lace is a little something I found on Aliexpress and it's just one of my favourite laces right now!

Here's a close-up at the larger flower arrangement. I have used a Magnolia Doohickey die here called Heart Swirl. I have put some Crystal stickles on the flowers and then gesso on top of them.

Here's a little close-up at a gorgeous die-cut made with Spellbinders Little Darlings Lovely View die. I used Maja Designs paper for it as well and then Frantage Enamel Shabby Pink on it. The little butterflies are made with a Martha Stewart punch and inked on the edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

Well, that's my card for the DT call, I am keeping my fingers crossed I make it to the team!!

Happy crafting :)

A Birthday Book Card

Hello everyone!

A close friend of mine turned 50 in September and I decided to make one of her favourite cards, a book card! I had a LOT of fun making this card and I had her in mind the whole time :) She loves birds and butterflies so that was a given to use on this card.

Here's my card! I have used Marianne Design Clock die, Lalaland Heart banner die and Magnolia Heart Tag die for this card. The dove die-cut is made with a MemoryBox die and the leaves under the flowers are also made with a MemoryBox die.

The paper I used is from Maja Design Sofiero Collection. The butterflies are made of Martha Stewart Clay and molds and inked with Inka Gold Silver and chalked around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I bought a new stamp set that I have been craving for for a LONG while now and I am SO in love! It's Stempelglede Vintage Garden stamp set with lovely dotty swirls and they are just gorgeous for making that little extra on the stamped image! I actually fell so much in love with it I had to stamp it all over LOL!

This is my coloured image by Mayzyart, this particular stamp is called "Looks like rain Xandra". I coloured her with Copics and used the following combinations:

Skin: E000, E04, E11, E21, E00, R20.
Hair:
Dress and gloves Green: G99, YG67, YG63,YG11, YG000 Pink: R89, R85, R83, R81
Umbrella Green: YG67, YG63, YG11, YG000 Pink: R85, R83, R81
Posca pen for white dots.

This is the inside! I used a new die from Cottage Cutz (my new favourite brand of dies!) in the shape of a Champagne glass and inked the paper with Inka Gold Old Silver to make it shimmer. I also used the Memorybox Dove die. I also used a new Spellbinder die I bought this summer from Stamps Alive! called Lucious Labels One to make the frame for greetings.

To the right inside the book card, I have made a little plate with a stamp and clay, inked it with Distress Ink and Inka Gold Old silver (on the edges) and put a bird made of clay on it. The sentiment goes something like this:

"Friends are the wings that lifts your feet when your own wings have forgotten how to fly"

That's all I had to show you today!
Happy crafting!

This year's first Christmas card!

Hello!

Earlier this week I was surfing around on the Internet trying to find some inspiration for making a CAS card - CAS stands for clean and simple. I thought it would be fun to have a Facebook group where crafters could inspire each other and help one another to find her/his way to making more CAS cards. So I created one and it has grown so fast and the feed of inspiration is just wonderful! If you would like to join us, just search for CAS Cards on FB and the group will appear :)

Now this is my very first Christmas card this year and I have an ambition to make more CAS cards for Christmas... :)

The very definition of CAS to me is not to have lots of embellishments and that there has to be large white areas. I must say I love this card myself, because I used an embossing folder that I bought this spring but haven't found the inspiration to use it until now! :) The embossing folder is from Spellbinders and called Paisley.

The sentiment is in Swedish and means Merry Christmas in kind of an old Swedish. I have stamped it with Versamark embossing dye and used gold embossing powder over it. Love it! The gold around the frame is made with stickles as well as the edges on the rest of the card. The ribbon was a wonderful gift from a good friend of mine :) The frame with the sentiment was made with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Fourteen.

Well, that was my first real CAS card and Christmas card this year!

Happy crafting!

Sneaky Tilda tag!

Hi!!

I had a lot of fun making this tag.. Colouring Sneaky Tilda with no line technique was wonderfully therapeutic! I have bought my very first digital design paper and found a gorgeous set of tag sized vibrant paper that I used on this tag.

Here's my tag!
I have used digital little oval images, put a glass cabochon over and then glued it to a charm frame. I love making my own embellishments!

The leaves are made with a Memorybox die, and the butterfly in Martha Stewart clay. I used a gorgeous pearl ribbon I just bought at WOC and I love it!

Here's a close-up on Sneaky Tilda! I have coloured her with Copics and used Frantage Enamel Shabby Pink around the image. I have actually tried a new marker, N5 to inforce the shading in her skin and I like the result! For you who don't know about the no line technique, it's when you stamp with a very light colour (or print images with light colours or light grey) and colour as usual but it gives a totally different effect, with no harsh black lines. I used Memento Grey Flannel and stamped twice and used the second stamped image because the lines are very very much lighter than the first stamped image.

Copic combinations:
Skin: E000, E04, E11, E21, E00, R20, N5, W7 for eyes
Hair: E29, E25, E21
Dress: R85, R83, R81
Bow knot and shoes: V15, V12, V01, V000
Posca pen for white dots

Here's the back of the tag. I have used the same tag sheet as on the front of the tag, but a different design from it.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

xoxo Madeleine
